Theme: Keeping Him at the Center
Deuteronomy 6:5 "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."
Reflection:
As Christians, we are called to love our Lord with every aspect of our being. An intentional love for God is the foundation of our relationship with Him. God's love for us is the perfect model for how we should love Him and others: unconditionally, nonpartial, and growing. Despite the circumstances of our situation (success or failure), we are taught to glorify God all the same. Loving the Lord means spending meaningful time with Him immersed in His Word or in devout prayer. Our obedience to Him is also a sign of our love. The Lord calls us to be obedient to Him so that we may spend eternity with Him. Our love for God should push us in this direction, encouraging us to align our will with His.
Questions to Consider:
How can you love God better this week? How does God show His love for you?
Application:
Write down all of things God does that show His unconditional, forgiving love for you. Then describe how you can implement these acts of love into your relationship with Him.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your endless love that You give us each day. Even when we deny You and go against Your will, Your love never falters. Lord, we pray that we can learn to love like You. To love You not only when our prayers are answered but also when life feels heavy. Lord, we love You with all of our being. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
