Theme: Trusting God's Plan
Acts 20:24 "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace"
Reflection:
Our purpose in life is to serve the Lord with our whole heart. In order to do this, we must face persecution and be forced to lean on Him, the root of our strength and wisdom. Persecution is God's display of faithfulness as he has faith in us to turn to Him when life gets difficult and proclaim His glory. By viewing these tribulations as gifts, we begin to understand that no matter what season of life we are in, your purpose is to serve the Lord with your whole heart.
Questions to Consider:
What areas of our lives is God challenging us with the intention of bringing us closer to Him? How can we use this persecution to grow in our faith?
Application:
Reflect on three ways you can reframe your mindset when confronted with a challenge. An example of this shift in perspective could be expressing gratitude to God for loving us so much that He sends us trials to grow as disciples.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for putting us through trials and tribulations each day so that we may lean more deeply on Your love and the truth of Your Word. When we face persecution, help us to trust that these moments guide us along the perfect path You have prepared for us. Lord, keep our hearts firmly rooted in Scripture, especially when life feels heavy and uncertain. Father, as we struggle, remind us that You never leave us, neither in times of success nor in the darkest of valleys. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
