Theme: Keeping Him at the Center

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it"

Reflection:

It is so easy to get caught up in the stress of schoolwork, busyness of work, or simply the chaos of life that we do not appreciate each day as a gift from God. This verse is a reminder that no matter what is going on around you, God created this day and deemed it good. Each day is made so that His disciples may proclaim His Gospel and glorify His name. Every day that we get to call Jesus our Savior is a day that deserves gratitude, joy, and discipleship.

Questions to Consider:

Where am I missing God's expression of love and graciousness throughout my day? How can I work to recognize that each of these moments is a gift from God?

Application:

At the end of the day, write down five moments where you felt God's presence or recognized the beauty of His Creation. Not only will this engrain a mindset of gratitude, but it will encourage us to look for these moments and truly appreciate God's work in ordinary times.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving us the gift of this day, this hour, and this moment for we know that nothing is promised. Prince of Peace, we ask that You encourage us to stop what we are doing to praise and thank You throughout the day. Help us to see the beauty of Your good work as our days continue and anxieties attempt to creep in. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
