3/18 Strength Through Song

Theme: Keeping Him at the Center

Isaiah 12:2 “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

Reflection:

Being in close relation with God brings a deep sense of protection and comfort. When anxiety takes hold, it often reflects a struggle to fully trust in Him. Yet, when we remember that an all-knowing and ever-present God dwells within us, our worries begin to lose their power. He invites us to lean on Him during these difficult, overwhelming times. Though we may still walk through hardship, we are never alone in it; God fights on our behalf, giving us strength when we feel weak. As we fix our eyes on Him our flawed perspective begins to shift. What once felt like burdens can become opportunities to grow in faith and rejoice in the hardship.

Questions to Consider:

In what areas of your life are you attempting to fight the battle on your own? How can you surrender these worries to God?

Application:

Identify a specific trial you have gone through where you fought through it without turning to the Lord. Think about how much easier this situation could be if you surrendered your worries and struggles to God.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for showing us that we are never alone in both successes and hardships. Your strength replaces our anxieties, worries, and weaknesses with peace, joy, and comfort. We ask that during times of trial, we are reminded that Your presence and Word are the solution to all. All of this is in Your Holy name, Amen.
