4/23 Enduring for Eternity

Theme: Keeping Him at the Center

Ecclesiastes 3:14 "Whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, not anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before Him."

Reflection:

This verse is a powerful reminder that God's work is complete, lasting, and perfected. Contrasting our lives of uncertainty and anxiety, His flawless plan is already rooted and unchanging. Fully understanding this Truth envelops our hearts with His protection and eternal peace. This allows us to release the strict control over our lives, especially when life feels scarily unknown.

This verse also encourages us to fear Him. This is not fear that leads to anxiety, but a deeper respect and awe that leads to trust. It is the true understanding of His power that pushes us to live out His will. When we develop this recognition of God’s greatness, we stop trying to take His place and start learning to depend on Him.

Questions to Consider:

Where have you been trying to take control? How can you surrender these areas to Christ with complete confidence?

Application:

This week, intentionally surrender these areas to God through prayer, trusting His plan instead of forcing your own.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for everything You have given us for it is all perfectly completed. Lord, help us to fully trust in You so that we may release the control we take over our lives. Instead, encourage us to lift these worries up to You and be confident in Your Truth. We thank You for giving us a reason to fear You in an awe-struck, respectful way. Lord, we pray that we can be a vessel for You to shine Your light through each day. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
