Theme: Trust in God's Plan
Job 5:17-19 "'Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves: therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. For He wounds, but He binds up; He shatters, but His hands heal. He will deliver you from six troubles: in seven no evil shall touch you.'"
Reflection:
The beautiful thing about walking with the Lord is that He will never leave you in a broken place. Although we are bound to experience trials and burdens, He will continue to be faithful in every season. In His divine, perfect timing, our hearts will be repaired and we will lift our eyes to the unchanging faithfulness of God. As you enter hardship and calamity, there is peace in knowing God's character and trusting that He will provide. So, I encourage you to approach suffering with a heart of surrender and gratitude.

When have you felt broken but God put you back together in perfect timing?
Application:
Think about this specific moment and the outcome of your suffering. Reflect on how the end result would change if you had been delivered immediately when you asked. Maybe you are imagining less pain or an easier path, but when you look deeper you understand it would result in a lack of growth, a pause in striving for God, and complacency. His timing is truly perfect.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You that You always bind us up, heal us with Your hands, and deliver us from our sorrows. Although we do not fully understand Your timing, we place our trust in You with hands open in surrender. You have not failed us thus far, and You will not fail us in moments to come. Thank You for Your discipline for it brings us closer to You. We pray for those who are wounded and shattered, that they may bring lift their troubles to You. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
