Theme: Living for Jesus

Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God,   what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Reflection:

In this verse, God tells His followers to resist worldly desires because He has given us a renewed heart and a transformed  mind. As our minds are shaped by Him, we begin to grow in wisdom and discernment. This wisdom allows us to determine whether our decision honor God and align with His plan, or if they separate us from His love.  As we are forced to make difficult decisions, we are called to face God and choose the option that best represents His character. No matter the importance, every decision becomes an opportunity to glorify Him and honor His name.

Questions to Consider:

How can you seek God's wisdom and guidance before making decisions? Does this change the outcome of your decisions? What does this say about your character or priorities?

Application:

Next time you are making an important decision, check in with God first. Determine which option aligns best with His plan for you. Once you have chosen this option, discover ways to glorify God through your actions.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for transforming our hearts and encouraging us to turn to you for guidance in difficult situations. You provide an easy template for making difficult decisions. We pray that we can open our eyes to Your influence as we make decisions to honor You. Lord, thank You for sending Your only son, Jesus, to Earth as a model of faith. Jesus sets an example to determine whether or not our decisions represent our faith well. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
