Theme: Living for Jesus
Micah 6:8 "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Reflection:
God sent Jesus to Earth to live as an example of a godly man. Jesus' character is one of humility, kindness, love, and grace. In giving back to the Lord for this gracious gift, we should strive to live a purposeful, righteous life. This means choosing love over lust, faith over fear, and silence over sarcasm. It is these small decisions that will be greatly rewarded by our Father in Heaven. Although you may experience persecution for these choices now, His reward is greater than we can even imagine.
Questions to Consider:
How can you model Jesus' character this week? How can you encourage others to do the same?
Application:
Find an older, wiser mentor that inspires you to live like Jesus. Meet with them at least once, discussing your walk of faith. Ask them to provide suggestions for how you can humble yourself before God and fully serve Him.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending the gracious gift of Your son, Jesus Christ. As we continue to make decisions that honor You, let us give all of the glory to You. You have given us salvation and renewed our hearts. Lord, we are forever thankful for You. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
