Theme: Keeping Him at the Center
1 John 1:5 "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."
Reflection:
God's goodness is revealed through quiet moments under the sun, peaceful music, and kindhearted people. These simple experiences remind us how deeply blessed we are to be alive and in relationship with Him. He is truly good in all senses. As His disciples, we are called to reflect this goodness by loving others deeply, generously providing for those in need, and offering small, everyday acts of kindness. As our faith grows, His light begins to overcome the darkness within us. This transformation should move us to share that light with others, bringing hope and comfort where there is sorrow.
Questions to Consider:
In your life, who visibly radiates the love of Jesus? What character traits do they have that differ from those around them? How can you implement these traits into your daily life?
Application:
Write down 5 traits or habits that this godly person has. For each trait, describe how you can work on molding your lifestyle to portray this trait and shine Jesus' light more boldly.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for all that You have made, for it is all good. You are the light within us, extinguishing the dark, secretive parts of our heart. Guide us in reflecting Your goodness to those around us so that they may experience the eternal joy You bring. Lord, Your goodness deserves all of the praise. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
