Psalms 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path"
Reflection:
God's Word is given to us as a guide for how to live, providing wisdom, counsel, and direction. When we abide by His Word, our life's purpose becomes clear and achievable. The Bible contains many rules that Christians are called to follow, however, it is not simply a rulebook. It is a letter to the followers of Christ on how to grow closer to God. Since God yearns for us to be in relation with Him, he provides the instructions to live a holy, pure life.
Questions to Consider:
How often do you make decisions without calling upon the Lord for guidance? What is the result of these decisions?
Reflection:
Throughout your day, create a tally on your phone that counts how many decisions were made by the help of the Lord. Seek guidance from the Word of God for the decisions that were made based on your own understanding and compare the outcomes.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving us Your Word as guidance for our lifestyle. As we choose to honor You through our decisions, help us to turn directly to prayer and Your word for direction. Encourage us to grow our faith by depending on you but remind us to be joyful of the progress we have made thus far. Lord, You are so kind and loving . All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
