Theme: Trusting in God's Plan
Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
Reflection:
God fully understands the trials and anxieties that each day holds. He gently calls us to release our anxiety about the future, inviting us to be present in the moments He has given us. When we slow down and live intentionally within each day, we become more aware of God’s presence in the ordinary moments. This daily surrender strengthens our trust, reminding us that His plan is far greater and more purposeful than anything we could create on our own. Rather than carrying the weight of tomorrow, we are called to walk faithfully through today, confident that God is already ahead of us.
Questions to Consider:
How does worrying about the future change the present situation? How does it affect your emotions and gratitude each day? How can you become more intentional with your actions throughout the day?
Application:
Write down the situation you are currently in: your surroundings, emotions, and trials. Determine the aspects which you can control and cross out those which you cannot control. This should suggest that you can control your response, actions, and attitude. As for the things which you cannot control, give them up to God and trust in His plan for you.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for reminding us to remain present in each moment and recognize Your work in our lives. Lord, we ask that when life gets busy and we become anxious, You nudge us to spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Lord, these quiet moments with You deepen our faith and help us to trust in Your plan for us. Thank You for desiring to spend this time with us and consistently waiting for us to reach for You. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
