Theme: Keeping Him at the Center

2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

Reflection:

God has gifted us His Word as a guide for how we should live as followers of Christ. It holds the answers to all of life's questions, decisions, and wisdom. Not only does the Word of God lead us to a path of righteousness, but it also equips us with the tools needed to get there: wisdom, courage, conviction, and faith. It is deeper than reading the Bible to deepen our faith, it is about getting to know God, His character, and His promises. Because of this available knowledge and discernment, we should immerse ourselves in Scripture as often as possible.

Questions to Consider:

How much time do you spend in the Word of God each day? Is this time peaceful and quiet? Is this time rushed or full of distractions?

Application:

Find a place in your room or house that can be dedicated to immersing yourself in God's Word. Make this area clean, distraction-free, and cozy so that You can spend quality time with the Lord.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts. Grateful that You have given us a paper guide for how to live our lives. Grateful that you have given us Your son as a role model for what it means to live a godly life. As we make more time to read Your Word, Lord, we ask that You open our minds and hearts to gain the knowledge You provide for us. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
