Theme: Trust in God's Plan
Galatians 3:3 "Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?"
Reflection:
This verse really sticks out because it is so easy to rely on God at our lowest moments and then lose sight of who built us up when we are doing well. In the heavy moments of life, God is there to guide us, rebuild us, and bring us closer to Him. He is also there for these things when life is going well, for we cannot succeed without Him who created and perfected us. It is foolish to think that God molds us into His children just so we can become independent and self-serving. All of the good things we do in life should not bring us glory, but rather they should direct the glory and praise to Him who is worthy.
Questions to Consider:
Have you been giving yourself credit for certain areas of your life? How can you give this credit to God, remembering your dependence on Him?
Application:
Ask God where you can improve in your walk with Him. Reflect on where this journey started and all of the work God has done within your heart to get to where you are now.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord, we thank You for Your presence in both difficult and sweet moments. You never have and never will leave our sides. Lord, You deserve all of the glory and praise from our weaknesses and our strengths. When things are going well, we ask that You remind us who built us up from the start. Give us the opportunity to lean on You rather than our flesh during these joyful moments. All of this is in Your holy name, Amen.
